Privacy policy
What stays in your app, and what you choose to share.

What this policy covers
This policy describes the current iPhone beta of teleprompterpal.com and these support pages. The app is operated by Second Wind, LLC in the United States.
You can prepare scripts, rehearse, record, edit and export without creating an account. Purchases are disabled in this beta. The app does not impose a recording time or file-size cap; storage, interruptions and device conditions can still end a recording.
Your library stays in the app
The app saves your scripts, original audio and video recordings, trim and crop edits, reading position, reader preferences and onboarding choices in its local storage. It uses this information to show your library, keep your place, record takes and prepare exports.
We do not operate a cloud library, automatically upload your scripts or recordings, or use your content to train an AI model. There is no app-operated account service or remote analytics endpoint in this beta.
Local storage does not mean that copies can never leave your iPhone. Your device backup settings and the destinations you choose for exports may place copies elsewhere, as explained below.
Permissions you control
- Camera and microphone
- Used to capture a video and your voice when you record. Rehearsal works without these permissions.
- Photos
- The app asks to add a video when you choose Save to Photos. This does not grant the app access to browse your entire Photos library.
- Files and Share
- iOS presents the file or sharing destinations you choose. Importing a script reads the text file you select.
You can change camera, microphone and Photos permissions in iPhone Settings. Revoking a permission prevents the relevant action; it does not remove recordings or exported copies already saved.
Local diagnostics
The app keeps a limited rolling event history for actions such as recording, exporting and saving. It also keeps technical recording and export reports, which can include operation identifiers, times, iOS version, camera orientation, media dimensions, audio-route names and device-condition measurements.
These diagnostics help identify failures and recover interrupted work. They do not contain the script text or the audio and video content of your recordings. The app does not automatically upload these files to us.
The event history is bounded and older entries are removed as it fills. Per-recording technical reports have a separate local lifetime and may remain after a take is deleted. Deleting the app removes its local diagnostics along with its library.
Exports, backups and Apple services
Saving or sharing delivers a copy only when you choose that action and a destination. Apple Photos, iCloud Drive, your email app and other destinations handle their own copies under their own settings and privacy policies. We do not control those copies.
iPhone or computer backups may include app data, depending on your settings. This is separate from an app-operated cloud library. See Apple’s explanation of iCloud Backup and review your backup settings before relying on a backup or removing one.
If a future beta is installed through TestFlight, Apple automatically collects crash logs and beta usage information and shares information with the app provider. Feedback you submit can include comments, screenshots and contact details. We use beta feedback and diagnostics to investigate problems and improve the app. See TestFlight & Privacy for Apple’s collection and retention details.
Purchases are disabled in the current beta, so there is no active in-app checkout or subscription offer. We do not receive payment-card details.
Information you send for support
If you contact us, we receive the email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, investigate the issue and handle related privacy requests. Do not attach a script, recording or diagnostic file unless you want us to receive it.
Email and other service providers may process support correspondence on our behalf. We use this information for support, security and applicable legal obligations, not for advertising. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to resolve the request, handle related follow-up or meet a legal obligation, then delete it when it is no longer needed.
We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We do not add advertising or third-party analytics SDKs to this beta. Information you send may be disclosed if required by law or as necessary to protect the service and users.
Keeping and removing your data
Local scripts, originals and saved edits remain until you remove them or delete the app. Deleting a script moves it to Recently Deleted, where you can restore it; it does not delete recordings made from that script. Deleting an original recording requires confirmation.
Exported MP4 files inside the app are temporary cache files and can be recreated from a retained original and saved edit. Copies saved to Photos, Files or other apps remain in those destinations until you remove them there.
To remove the entire local library and local diagnostics, first keep any copies you need, then use iOS to delete the app. Offloading the app retains its documents and data. Deleting the app does not remove exported copies or existing backups; manage those separately with the relevant provider.
We cannot remotely access or delete a library that remains only in your app. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold, such as support correspondence. Use the contact details below to ask about that information.
